Sony Ericsson Aspen Looks To Be First WinMo 6.5.3 Device

We’ve been hearing for a while now that Windows Mobile 6.5.3 was on the way and now that release has finally been spotted on a device, the Sony Ericsson Aspen.

The Aspen is a business user intensive device with a 2.4 inch QVGA TFT Touchscreen and a Qwerty keyboard on a candybar design. The device also features a 3.2MP camera, offers assisted GPS (A-GPS) and comes with Google Maps.

The Aspen also features a 3.5mm headphone jack for some audiophile love, WiFi and a microSDHC card slot for a ton of added memory options. The unit is also packed with quad-band GSM and 3G connections which are sold with different frequencies based on region.

The Aspen is due out in Q2 2010, no pricing is available at this time.

BTW, WinMo 6.5 is bringing capacitive touchscreen support with multi-touch, faster page load times when browser and overall better pan and flick gestures with faster zoom and rotational speeds. We should see it at MWC. [Engadget via Sony Ericsson]
