About Peter Hargitay
Peter Hargitay has put together a successful career as a consultant
specializing in crisis communication and management, government
relations and lobbying. Hargitay's understanding of how the
international media works, his impressive networking skills and the
number and quality of contacts that he has cultivated through his 35
years in the field have helped him achieve success.
After the native of Hungary started his career with one of
Switzerland's leading firms, Hargitay founded the Consulting Group
Europe in 1980. He built that company into a 15-office, 13-country
business that specialized in cases involving high-profile companies or
individuals who needed help ensuring that their reputations remained
solid.
After he sold Consulting Group Europe and spent 10 years in Jamaica to
focus on his family and producing documentaries, Hargitay re-entered
the consulting field in 2002 when he formed ECN Ltd. Since then, many
of the world's most prominent individuals have come to him for advice
when they have found themselves unexpectedly thrust into the media
spotlight.
From then until 2007, Hargitay also acted as a special adviser to
FIFA's president, Sepp Blatter, and helped Blatter and the organization
improve their public perceptions. ECN
has worked closely with the Premier League, Chelsea Football Club and
Formula One as well.
Peter Hargitay was one of the executive producers of "Goal!" and "Goal!
III: Taking on the World," two-thirds of the "Goal!" trilogy. Those
movies were released in 2005 and 2007, respectively, and were produced
with the full co-operation of FIFA.
Hargitay has also served as a lecturer at the Universities of
Neuchatel, Milan and Leicester and at Bocconi and De Montfort
Universities.
